In August of 2011, my cat Maxx was diagnosed with Lymposarcoma. At first devastated with this diagnosis, we were assured that Maxx could be treated. The expense for all the tests done on him through my veterinarian and two specialists including a veterinary oncologist came to over $1,700. Thankfully when I first took out the policy years ago, I added the cancer rider. VPI reimbursed me for over $1,500. Over the past year, Maxx has had routine checkups and needs to have medicine refilled monthly. VPI has paid 90% of all those bills. With or without VPI, Maxx would still have gotten the medical care he needs, but knowing that VPI would help with the majority of expenses has made it much better. He is now doing well on his treatment. I recommend them to everyone.
