I believePetPlan is the best company among many pet insurance companies--they are the only ones that I can find that pay straight % of vet bill (no limits per condition or reasonable charges reductions), and they cover stuff like physical therapy, allergy shots, etc.
We NEVER had any problmes with any claims, and we submitted dozens-in fact we had several thousand dollars' worth of claims paid. My 1-year old dog broke his hip right after we signed up--within a month. Since then, PetPlan paid for surgery, physical therapy (3 times per week), and countless medications and checkups. Also paid for allergy testing, allergy shots, etc, etc. I am frankly amazed how they can stay is business based on how much they pay out.

If you mention to the vet the problem (or what could be a symptom of the problem) has occurred in the past, even if you had not seen a vet for it back then, it WILL be considered pre-existing. So be aware of limitations and play by the rules.
