Yesterday I took my doggy in to Banfield and, after the diagnosis, I was given two prescriptions. By accident, I found out that customers of BANFIELD are charged $10 TEN DOLLARS per prescription for a "Prescription Fee." What the heck? The nurse told me it was for the plastic bottles (!), the Doctor's input on the RX (!), the nurse cutting the pills in half (!) and their "processing fee." WHAT? Today I called Banfield again and asked for a further explanation, but they just kept referring to it as a processing fee, "like when you get a prescription at the drug store." I tried their HQ and they don't even have a department that addresses this kind of issue. The Wellness Plan is a royal rip off. I could get my dog's teeth cleaned cheaper from a good ol' country vet. Just BEWARE OF HIDDEN COSTS! I paid $10.88 for $.88 cents worth of pills.
