Unprofessional, misleading, not worth the headache

After being referred by my vet to Trupanion I put a policy in place and after the fact received a call from PetSecure who had provided 6 weeks of coverage from the breeder and wanting to covert to a policy. I had an at length discussion and quote with Petsecure and decided this was more affordable and better suited our needs for our Golden Retriever. Now I'm an insurance agent... albeit home and auto but still familiar with insurance wording and contracts. I compared the two and made the best decision for me and my pup. 5 Phone calls and 2 faxes and 1 email to Trupanion along with being spoken to like I was 5 years old and listening to them run down my current provider I FINALLY got my policy cancelled - it's been 7 days since my first call to them. Clearly retention is something they focus on because they lose a large degree of business but to be so unprofessional as to run down other companies and pull their contract out and start telling me that my breed of dog is predisposed to this and that??? that's not retention, it's harrassment and just clearly a sign of poor training. So those folks that say they were mislead and told different stories on the phone... I BELIEVE IT!! I'd be shocked if they have people that have worked there longer than a year as they don't know their own product let alone boast about their superior knowledge of their competitors.
