I signed my dog, Shelby, up for insurance when she was a puppy. During her lifetime, we used her insurance many times. She tore her CCL and needed double knee surgery in 2006. VPI really came through for me. Then, in 2010, she was diagnosed with cancer. Fortunately I did not have to make a decision on what to do. VPI said they'd be there for me & they really were. They paid each claim in a timely manner. Shelby went into remission & did great for almost a year. When Shelby's policy was up for renewal last year, I dreaded opening the envelope. I was shocked that they only raised her premium 2.00 for the entire year & that was because she was 11 years old. Unfortunately the cancer returned last year. Again, VPI was there for me. Sadly, Shelby did not make it this time. VPI even sent me a sympathy card. Every time I called them, they always made me feel like they personally knew me. I can't say enough good about them. I now have a new puppy & she is already enrolled in VPI.
