I am so happy we got insurance for our pets!

We live in Florida and have two puppies, one pup is just a year old and the other is six months old. When we took the younger one to be neutered, prior to the procedure his liver blood work tested abnormal and required specialty testing which included sending the blood sample overnight to Cornell University in New York. I doubted that it would be covered, but we submitted it to Trupanion and were thrilled to discover they covered 90% after our $50 deductible. It took only a couple of days to process and we received a check the following week.

To update...We have paid for our Trupanion insurance for one year on our two puppies staggered in age. As soon as the first puppy turned one-year-of age, Trupanion raised the premium on one puppy from $42 per month to $54 per month. I assume the second puppy will receive an increase as well costing us $104 per month for puppies only one-year of age. I am unsure that this is worth the long term commitment of $1,248 per year for ten years down the road when dogs will need the insurance. Apparently $84 per month was not enough for Trupanion.
