I purchased Pets Best for my two dogs. My lab damaged her ACL 3 months into the program. I was thankful I had purchased the insurance, unfortunately the plan must be in effect for 1 yr before ligament injuries are covered.Out of pocket: $2,800. Coverage : $00.00.
I'm still glad I have the insurance and will maintain it as long as my dogs are with me. I understand the reasoning for the delay in coverage. Just read the fine print.

Hi Denny, while we do have a 12-month waiting period on cruciate ligament injury coverage, we don’t consider cruciate injuries to be bi-lateral like some companies do. This means if your dog suffers a cruciate injury on the other leg after the waiting period, we won’t consider it pre-existing and you will have coverage. Thanks for being a Pets Best Insurance customer – we hope your dog is feeling better.
