I took out pet insurance with VPI when my puggle was a puppy after hearing a sad story from a friend who's dog died from tetanus when it was just 1. When Shea was just 6 years old, she was diagnosed with Lymphoma, which is cancer of the lymph nodes and a death sentence for her in a few short months. We spoke to our Vet who said we can keep her comfortable for as long as possible or I can go talk to another Vet he knew who treats animals with Chemo right out of his office. The vet told us that this drug wont put the cancer in remission for as long as the last time, but its better than no remission at all. We probably only have a few months left with Shea, but to have gotten another year and a half or so with her is truly a miracle. Without VPI, who reimbursed me for a good portion of the treatments and doctors visits which was thousands of dollars, I never would have been able to affor
