I had the VPI Superior Plan when my dog developed epilepsy. Here is what I read about coverage when I choose VPI: "Payments under this insurance policy are limited to a maximum of $4,500 per incident and a maximum of $14,000 for each policy term." And here additional information I found out later after I began submitting claims: Our records indicate the Superior Plan offers a $168 benefit for treatment and $210 for testing for the diagnosis of epilepsy per policy term after meeting your $50 per incident deductible. The policy term is 12 months. So I bought the policy believing m dog's medical expenses minus the deductible would be covered up to the amounts in the first paragraph only to find out they would only reimburse me $168 per year!
