Out of 10

Expect dramatically higher increases as your pet ages. When my cat was young, premiums were managable. She's geriatric now and although her rates have tripled, VPI does everything in its power not to reimburse for expenses. Despite her age, she receives only pain medication with the ocassional followups. After the deductible ($50 with a $75 cap) for medication the reimbursement is basically zilch. In fact, most claims over the years, despite advertised coverage have been denied. Out of pocket expenses have become outrageous; most of it, the near 100.00 per month premium. I'm keeping VPI until my cat dies IN CASE they help me pay for something. I wouldn't count on it, though. Once my cat is gone, I'll seek business elsewhere. If you're reading this, I hope you'll consider doing the same.
