I have a 5 year old english bulldog named Noble. I adore this wrinkly little pup, but she has come with some significant veterinary expenses. She has multiple allergies, one of which she went into anaphylactic shock and had to have emergency treatment, she has also had BOTH of her ACL's reconstructed at a little over $5000 for EACH one. Fortunately, we enrolled Noble when she was just a puppy so there were no pre-existing conditions to worry about. VPI reimbursed us for BOTH of her surgeries at around 50%. That alone has made having VPI worth while. Had we not had the policy i don't know how we could have afforded the surgeries. Of course we would have found a way, but being reimbursed for part of it made it much better for our wallets! I always recommend friends and family members that have pets.
