I have had good experiences with claims processing over the past 1.5 years. Good coverage for my maltipoo when he needed to be microchipped, neutered, vaccinated and his wellness puppy exams. My dog's insurance coverage activation was quick and I usually received my reimbursement check within a week after the confirmation email from the insurance claims representative.
This year I made an appointment for my dog's wellness exam and 1 year vaccinations after receiving an email that his coverage was renewed. I hadn't looked at the fine print that said the exact date of the renewal coverage (Nov 5). Being in the medical industry myself I am more accustomed to insurance renewing on the 1st of the month so I had made an appointment on Nov 3. When I submitted the claim it was actually initially denied because the services were rendered 2 days before the renewal of the policy. I emailed back concerned that my claim was denied when I had already been notified about the policy renewal. The claims department was understanding and reimbursed me the entire claim.
That to me is excellent customer service. They have assured me that they are reasonable and do care for my dog's medical needs. I appreciate that I feel that I am speaking to a person and not just another insurance company. Embrace is a great pet insurance and I highly recommend them.
