Very Pleased and Glad I have VPI

Out of 10

I have had VPI coverage on my dog since he was 8 weeks old (now 5 yrs old). I use the wellness coverage every year and am happy with the reimbursements. If nothing else it's worth having it for that alone. Recently my dog had to have major surgery for a torn cruciate ligament and I wasn't sure if it would be covered or not, but I submitted my claim anyway. Needless to say I was very surprised and pleased to find out that they did cover the surgery! My claim was processed in about 2 weeks and of the $2,000 and some change the surgery cost I ended up only having to pay my $100.00 annual deductible and VPI reimbursed the remaining amount of the surgery! Thank you! I hope to never need the insurance for anything major-major (God forbid cancer), but would rather have it and not need it.....then need it and not have it! I love my Rottie so much and could not imagine not being able to take care of him. They may not cover everything (i.e. I wish they would cover osteoarthritis) because like us it's not always hereditary just the process of aging. That said, I look at it this way I have my dog on the maximum policy and it's worth every dime! The wellness reimbursements alone help pay back some of the cost. If I didn't have him insured "I'd get nothing back" for all of the vet expense and getting something back sure beats getting nothing back! I am always telling my friends with pets about VPI and my vet uses me to explain it to other pet owners. Pet insuranc
