I am the "pet parent" of an accident prone Boxer. After the 2nd or 3rd trip to our Vet, he recommended VPI. I researched the policies offered and checked other companies and have been with VPI for 11 years now. When Biff was a Search and Rescue dog he broke his leg and tore the cruciate ligament on his other leg. Having the VPI coverage made the ensuing surgeries more affordable. He has been gored by a buck twice and picked up countless foxtails. We have made many trips to the Vet over the years, and while, sometimes, I am not totally satisfied with the reimbursements, I am always happy to have the coverage. If I have questions about what is covered their customer service is excellent. I also receive emails telling me they have received my claim and are processing it. A few years ago I researched the pet insurance companies again and stuck with VPI. Their Superior plan still offered the best coverage for us. Although the premiums have risen dramatically we are still money ahead. VPI has given me peace of mind when it comes to Veterinary care.
