When my 8-month old puppy did not eat his breakfast and looked lethargic one morning in early March of this year, I knew something was not quite right. I took him to his vet that morning not knowing that it was only the beginning of numerous of medical problems which were yet to surface. He’s had a bout of vomiting bile in the morning and regurgitation and went through many weeks of excessive and very frequent urination, and even an anaphylactic reaction to something which resulted in an emergency hospital visit while we were on out-of-town vacation. Throughout this ordeal, he’s endured numerous blood and urine test, x-rays, abdominal ultrasounds and liver aspiration.I looked at various pet insurance plans before deciding on the Petplan for their easy to understand and very clear policy terms and conditions available right there on their website. Am I ever glad that I picked Petplan! Petplan has so far reimbursed me for every claim I’ve made in matter of days. I’m so impressed with them and have been sharing my experience with people who might benefit from it.
My puppy is getting much better but he’s not completely out of the woods yet. He’s now being seen by an Internal Medicine specialist, and there are more diagnostic tests and treatment in store for him. With Petplan’s help, I’m sure he’ll be on his way to a full recovery.
