My reimbursement is taken forever and I…

My reimbursement is taken forever and I getting the run around. The first customer service agent told me 10 days and a week later the second agent told me up to 45 days. I needed the money to pay the credit card company. I am now behind on other bills.

I would Not recommend this insurance

Pets best insurance should be called Pets Worst. Takes month to review your claims and reject with no valid reason. Appeal takes another 2 months. Please save your time and money and don’t sign for this insurance!

DO NOT PURCHASE PET INSURANCE WITH THIS PETTY COMPANY

hey take long to approve claims, nickel and dime you, there's now a deductible PLUS a co-pay for every claim. Guess what, their appeals process sucks as well, I provided enough back up, context, and a heartfelt letter explaining why I put a vet visit on a payment plan with zero % interest offered by @vca and how it's not any difference if I had put the cost of the visit on a credit card while I submitted the claim. STAY AWAY, Run away.

Slow processing.

I have 3 dogs - only one has Pet's Best - so just because I can compare I will say that Pets Best is very slow at processing claims in comparison to my other insurance. Watching a lot of money sit on your credit card while they process the claim is a little stressful- I filed immediately the day of the incident and its been 25 days - they finally processed the claim and state what the reimbursement is but I am waiting on the deposit - with my other dogs when filing I have the money back in my account under 5 days. I have had no problems though as far as the claims process that has been fine overall.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
