No Hassle!

After researching numerous companies, I found this one to be perfect! Although it is a fairly new company (2004), they are very straight-forward with their published pricing! No hidden issuance fees or fee schedules, and their deductible is only $50! Very helpful & considerate over the phone. Haven't had any claims yet, but I would assume it wouldn't be any hassle!

Very Disappojnted

My premium went from $91/mo to $225/mo after I was told that it was only going up to $121/mo. This is why I'm canceling my policy, AND I will not recommend this insurance to anyone else.

NOT HAPPY

We adopted our kitten from the shelter, that really talked up the fact that we would get 30 days of insurance for free. Of course once we got the kitten, it had ear mites, needed shots, etc. Our vet submitted the claim form for us, but then we got an email saying they needed MORE records. My husband emailed our records, the vet faxed theirs. Because the documents weren't UPLOADED the claim was closed. The vet said they did what they always do for people with pet insurance. It seems like PETFIRST just makes it super hard to place a claim. We will NOT be buying a policy.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 1 day after date listed on policy for accidents. A policy waiting period of 14 days applies for illness claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered.

Hereditary, chronic and congenital conditions are covered.

Optional Routine Care package can be added for an additional fee, and includes coverage for annual exams, vaccines, flea and tick prevention, microchipping and behavior training.
