I have decided to cancel

I bought the insuance for my 2 dogs last year. I just received an email that my plan is going up about 50% and they are raising the deductible. The website shows the old price still. When I tried to call and ask why, I was on hold 30 minutes before I finally gave up and left a message. 3 days later and I am still waiting for my message to be returned. The only bills I had this past year was the yearly checkup and shots and it took 6 weeks to get my money back. I have decided to cancel the insurance and just put the money in a bank account monthly. I'd rather keep the money myself and use it if I have to than give it away 'just in case'

AWESOME COMPANY

THIS COMPANY IS BY FAR THE BEST INSURANCE COMPANY I HAVE FOUND. I HAVE HAD GREAT DANES FOR 17 YEARS AND THEY CAN BE A VERY COSTLY BREED. I PURCHASED THIS LAST YEAR FOR MY BOY WHO WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A HEART ISSUE. I SUBMITTED NEARLY $2,900 IN CLAIMS AND RECEIVED BACK OVER $2,400 IN JUST A FEW WEEKS. THIS COMPANY IS A MUST IF YOU WANT COVERAGE FOR YOUR PET AND A PIECE OF MIND FOR YOURSELF

We cancelled this company

PetFirst was our first pet insurance experience. We read all exclusions which are many. During pre-op knee surgery (which we knew was not covered) our surgeon discovered a small tumor attached to the anal gland and removed it. It was later diagnosed as cancer. Our surgeon was careful to separate the cost of the tumor removal and was told in a phone call to PetFirst that the cancer was likely covered. We turned in the claim with 15 pages of surgeon's notes explaining and separating both surgeries. PetFirst then asked for 12 months of our regular vet's health records. When we finally received their determination, Pet First called the cancer pre-existing and denied the claim. Since there had never been cancer ever mentioned in any of our boy's vet reports in his 11 years, I called PetFirst. At first I was told the vet's exam for the torn ligament the week before surgery made the cancer a pre-existing condition. When I argued that no logic like that made sense since there had been no mention or awareness of cancer in any report let alone that one, I was told that anything related to the anal gland was not covered anyway. I have to say the coverage offered by this company is not worth the premium.

Great Company

I have been with this company for a year now. I haven't had my 16 month old puppy in for anything major yet, but the plan I have for her is real reasonable. I just submitted a claim for close to $200 for contact dermatitis and they are reimbursing me over $ 150.00, they also are reimbursing most of the money I paid for her yearly vaccinations. I highly reccommend them.
