Having health insurance through…HealthyPaws-Rating

Having health insurance through HealthyPaws was one of the best thing we could of had done for our tiny fur babies. The claims are easy to file, the process is quick and every time we had called customer service we always got the most thorough answers to our questions. They made filing my first claim with my lab/husky mix a breeze. They let me know what I needed, how to submit info and when I would hear back from them. They even checked up on Pedro a week later asking how we he was doing and it wasn’t a bot type of email. I appreciated that so much during a very stressful time.

Best Pet Insurance out there

I would have never thought that dealing with an insurance company would be easy, yet Healthy Paws has completely proven that wrong. When we adopted our dog at 6 months old, the first thing I did was research all the Pet Insurance companies out there. After a lot of research, I landed on Healthy Paws and I'm so glad I did. My pup has had some random issues pop up here and there that without Insurance would cost me and arm and a leg. With Healthy Paws, I submit the claim, and typically within 2 days, 80% of what's covered is back in my bank account. They have been such a lifesaver and on top of it, they are all so nice. When my dog got ACL surgery, I got an email just checking in on him to see how he's recovering. Couldn't recommend another Pet Insurance company more than Healthy Paws.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $90, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $100, $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
