Its difficult to find insurance for senior pets and since he its healthy we got a wellness plan that includes heart worm and flea meds. one of his paws got infected and we had too take him to emergency vet. We followed up at Petsmart the next day. They provided excellent treatment and didn't run a bunch of expensive tests. Our checkups since then have been free. Prospero has made friends with many of the staff. My exwife and I divorced and I cancel the policy under her name and called the same day to reinstate under my name. Banfield refuses to do so without charging an "Application" fee and signing another guaranteed one year contract even though my do has been on month to month for over 9 years. Secondly, they are not willing to do so without another comprehensive exam!
