| Our two year old and energenic yellow lab, Mason, tore his ACL while chasing a ball. After being diagnosed by his regular vet, he was referred to an orthopedic surgeon for a TPLO surgery, which went very well.
My wife and I are attorneys and my wife deals with insurance issues as counsel to a medical center, so we were somewhat skeptical when we submitted our claim to PetPlan that we were going to be in for a fight over every line in the rather extensive, over $4000, bill.
We were however very pleased to recieve payment in full under the terms of our policy prior to the time our credit card invoice arrived for the vet bills.
Mason is our third lab, and after spending over $8000 in vet bills for our second dog who developed kidney proplems, we knew that when we got our third dog that we would obtain some form of insurance. When we signed up for pet insurance we did a lot of research and chose PetPlan based upon these reviews. I will say that we would recommend them highly for the ease of signing up, the clarity of their contract, and the speed and lack of drama with their claim process. We certainly feel that we made the right choice. |
