10/10   Healthy Paws Saved My Baby's Life
My dog got hit by a car and required back surgery in order to walk again. Without Healthy Paws I wouldn't have been able to afford her the care she needed but she is now walking again. Our family is whole again because of Healthy Paws. If you have a pet, don't hesitate to make the minimal monthly contribution to insure their wellness - because a life-changing accident or illness becomes a lesson in hope instead of a tragedy with Healthy Paws on your side. Not only is filing a claim quick and easy but their customer service and website communicate on a personal level and make working with them seem like you're dealing with a friend. Healthy Paws, you ARE a friend - for LIFE!

10/10   for accidents and illnesses
I have had ASPCA insurance for almost 4 years now. I have been very pleased with the outcome. My baby just had a tumor removed and the bill was 1700.00. With the insurances it only cost me 117.00 out of pocket. Thanks ASPCA.

1/10   Don't Buy This!
After a less-than-positive experience with another company when my dog had to be hospitalized with pancreatitis to the tune of $2500--they refused to pay a dime--I chose 24/7 after a vet tech said they were very good. Nope. After one year with their so-called Champion plan and no claims on our part, the dog ate a ball at her daycare and after she vomited up three pieces I took her to the veterinary emergency hospital where they thought she would definitely need surgery after seeing the x-rays. However, they chose to put her on IVs and hoped the rest of the foreign material would pass from her stomach and out. After 24 hours and three more x-rays, the vets decided that things were moving through and that she wouldn't need surgery. I picked her up after 24 hours and submitted a claim to this co. and overnighted it. After sitting on the phone this morning, twice, with ridiculous hold times of 15+ minutes, I was told that because the vets didn't operate on my dog, they weren't going to pay the claim. HUH? The bill for surgery would have surpassed $3000 and this co. got off easy with a bill of $831 and refuse to pay the claim! I asked the second so-called customer service person where in the policy this was stated and he referred me to something I didn't either receive or notice. I will NOT renew and am really disgusted after spending $550 for nothing. And, one more thing, in the latest list of Top 10 Pet Insurance policies, this one was never mentioned. Now I know why...

10/10   Best insurance. Period.
Our eight-year-old Standard Poodle injured his back and required a hospital visit. We filed the claim promptly, and we're reimbursed the following week. If only our own insurance worked as well! B. Hess Vancouver, WA

1/10   Terrible
I have had the worse experience with PC pet insurance. When I got my 2 month old puppy insurance, I made the mistake saying she cried when we left the house (like any puppy does) and they made any behavioural concern an exclusion. I have been fighting with them for 4 months now, they made me jump threw hoops for absolutely nothing. My vet has called them several times explaining my dog never had anxiety or behavioural issues and they won't accept it. They are complete idiots. Anytime I call I am put on hold for 20 min, finally they say they have to call me back. Any claim I have made take 2 months to get my money back. Everything about them is awful, terrible service. When you want to speak to a manager or someone in charge I was told there was no one in that position.....everything about them is super sketchy. I do not recommend!
Company: PCF   Injury/Illness: not sure   Breed: Standard Poodle

10/10   CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!
I got AKC free trial insurance when I registered my pup. I renewed it after the first free month, and within a week I made a claim...my dog ate part of a toy and had to have it surgically removed. Now, I thought surely since I had ONLY made ONE payment, I figured the insurance company would be hesitant to pay the claim. I am HAPPY to say they paid over 3/4 of the amount and they paid it QUICKLY and with no hemming or hawing! THEY HAVE ME FOR LIFE!
Company: AKC   Injury/Illness: foreign object ingested   Breed: Poodle
Claim Amount: $500 - $1000   Age of Pet: 1 - 8
