10/10 The Best Pet Insurance
Trupanion is the very best. They process the claims immediately, provide status update notifications and promptly send payment. There is little hassle with "further review" and needless delays as is the case with many other pet insurance companies. The customer service is above and beyond. I would recommend to anyone looking to insure their pets to go with Trupanion!

10/10 Glad I picked Pet Plan Insurance!
I find myself very fortunate to have Pet Health Insurance. My girl Ziva( my standard poodle) has had more than her share of problems. Fortunately I did take out insurance on her as a puppy. It wasn't long after I adopted her that I realized she just wasn't as active as normal pups. She was diagnosed with Addison's disease, which requires daily medication. On Christmas day of 2011, she blew out her ACL and miniscus in her left knee, which required surgery. One week after surgery she came down with a seroma which ended up being a MRSA infection and then a pseudomonas infection. we fought this and with many different medication theraphies( up to 15 pills a day for over 2 months), she eventually need to have the surgery again to remove what was put in to repair the knee because her body was rejecting it,and we couln't clear infection after infection. Finally 4 months later and Ziva wearing a special brace, is infection free and starting to be able to use her leg again. It will still take time for her leg to build back muscle, but because of Pet Plan Insurance, I have been able to continue all the treatment that has been required. Pet Plan has reimbused me for all of her expenses, minus my deductible , in a prompt and efficient time period. Thankyou so much Pet Plan for letting me help my girl get better. Sincerely, Renae Martin

9/10 VPI pet insurance and our toy poodle - thankful
My wife and I had a 7 month old toy poodle puppy. On Thanksgiving day, she broke her right forelimb (radius and ulna). Total cost to have forelimb surgically repaired with titanum plates, screws, med costs was about $3800. I submitted claims to VPI post-surgery and $3450 of the total cost was reimbursed within 2 weeks of submitiing claims thru fax. I always knew having pet insurance was a wise move, but after this experience, I will be forever thankful to my VPI coverage.

10/10 Thus far,PetPlan has lived up to their reputation.
| I have an extremely active 3 yr. old standard poodle. As a result, we visit the vet at least once a month! So far the only vet visits that have not been covered are monthly anal gland expressions and a pre-existing ear infection. Everything else has been covered.
About PetPlan: I had been looking at PetPlan and Trupanion. I called each of them and asked that they compare themselves to the other insurance (ie, Trupanion compare itself to PetPlan and PetPlan to Trupanion). Interesting.. Trupanion responded with "Uhhh, that costs extra" or "we don't cover that". PetPlan covers wellness checkups and cancer treatment at no extra cost. You don't have to pay extra for what should really be covered.
My plan is $100 deduct. and 100% coverage. PetPlan has come through every time with no questions, disputes or challenges.
PetPlan is very easy to communicate with. I prefer communicating by phone. The agents are all patient, helpful, patient, non-confrontational, oh, yeah, and patient. I've had other insurance plans in the past for my other pets. But PetPlan is the best. I would (and have) recommend PetPlan to anyone who needs a great, honest, reliable pet insurance. By the way, all claims were handled within 7 days. |

1/10 ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!
Trupanion is a dream come true! With an affordable premium based upon the per condition deductible I was pleasantly surprised with the prompt payment of claims when my best friend presented at the vet with Addison's & a chest mass. Full payment for his surgery (which was preapproved by Trupanion), all diagnostic, lab, medications, follow up care was made within days of the claim being filed. As promised, Trupanion paid 90% of my vet's ACTUAL bills after I fulfilled the deductible which is only paid one time for the life of my dog. They have paid approximately $7,000 to date. In fact, they even pay 50% of his new veterinary food which he will require for life due to the Addison's Disease! No hassle & a welcome change from my past experience with ASPCA. THANK YOU TRUPANION!
