I have had a policy for my pet dog, Max, for quite a few years. It provides a degree of comfort knowing that I will be covered in cases of serious illness. Max has had a few instances where this insurance really helped. ASPCA Pet Insurance is a top-notch company, and the customer service is really of excellent quality. Claims are processed quickly and fairly. I would recommend ASPCA Pet Insurance to anyone who needs it.

My 10 year old dog, Murphy was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor. Not only did ASPCA pet insurance help with the finacial cost, I received follow-uo call to see how he was doing. I know the finacial burden we all have with pets can be stifling and now I know ASPC Pet Insurance is there to help keep that under control. Thank you for easing my worries and caring about my dog.

3/10   Do not recommend this insurance, 1/20/2017

When purchasing the insurance, pre-existing conditions were discussed. I was not informed that on the anniversary of a policy, everything becomes pre-existing. Therefore, nothing you had a claim on prior to the anniversary is covered by the insurance. Only new issues are covered.
My mistake - trusting the conversation and not reading the very fine print.
There are other pet insurances available, at the same price or less, consider issues that occur when covered are always covered, not just for the number of days left in your current year coverage. What a rip-off.

10/10   WONDERFUL INSURANCE & STAFF, 1/19/2017

Reviewed By: Alese & Glen Brooks, Recommend: Y

Our Min-Pin jumped off our reclining chair & broke her rear right leg in two places. Her leg was so small we couldn't keep her cast on her leg & we had seven replaced on her &
finally had to have surgery done. We were recommened to a
Critical Care Center with a bone vet & he preformed surgery.
She has recovered and doing great but it took almost 6 weeks
for recovery & Therapy. ASPCA Staff were GREAT to us. They made several calls to check on her success.
About 5 years ago we had a pomarian that got diabetes when he was 5 years old & we were so thankful that we had purchased ASPCA Pet Insurance. They paid for all of his meds & needles & doctor follow-up. This is a great company & I would recommend anyone that owns a dog to get pet insurance & please use ASPCA because they are just great.

8/10   Purchasing Peace of Mind,
I had this coverage on my Lab/Chow mix, Angel, for ten years. The renewal premiums always seemed reasonable to me for the coverage provided. I was purchasing peace of mind. If there was an accident, or when she was hospitalized for two weeks with pancreatitis at the end, I knew that at least some portion of my expenses would be recovered. I submitted several claims over the years, including two ACL… read more

9/10   Tom and Ollie,
At one time my wife and I had two guys insured with Petshealth Care Plan Insurance. We lost Thomas about two years ago, but Oliver is still insured. Ollie doesn't seem to have the problems that Tom did, but as a soon-to-be nine-year-old standard poodle, he has his share of maladies, the current one being an extremely sensitive stomach. As an insurance agent (property and casualty), I appreciate good… read more

10/10   Thankful for ASPCA Pet Health Insurance,
I decided to get pet insurance after adopting my dog Tripp from a shelter last year. My previous dog had died from lung cancer which cost me thousands of dollars out of pocket. I did an internet search for pet insurance companies and compared plans and rates before deciding to go with ASPCA Health Insurance in June 2009. In May 2010, Tripp was bitten by a poisonous snake and required medical treatment… read more

6/10   Great for senior pets,
Although I have had a couple of negative experiences with Petshealth, I must say that they seem to be the ONLY pet insurance company willing to insure older pets. They will insure dogs up to 13 years and cats up to 15 years. They will even insure the pet with their top plan, regardless of age, if there are no pre-existing conditions. I have a 13 year-old cat who has never been sick a day in his life. I… read more
