| 3/10 Payment for a claim is very slow |
| I have had a claim with them since March 12/13 and as of Apr 9/13 it is still not paid. When I inquire their turn around time goes from 5 -7 days and now it is 12 days. No point trying to call they just give the same answer all the time. My credit card is being charged interest which I am sure they would not pay for. |

| 1/10 Horrible Experience |
| - Took forever to settle a claim
- my dog injured her leg in the dog park but they said it wouldn't be covered because its arthritis releated
- poor communication
- they give you a run around and misleading infomration
- they dont want to pay claims, they can be rude
My experience was so bad that I ended up closing all my pc financial accounts and investment accounts moved to another financial institution |

| 2/10 They're Not Good |
| I've used 2 different insurance companies for my pets, hbc and pc financial, and hands down HBC is better. Better customer service and better handling of claims. The run around pc financial gives you when you have to make a claim is awful. Over 60 days for a pulled leg muscle and knee sprain in my girl. |

| 9/10 Very satisfied |
| My pug became ill and passed away. His illness was undiagnosed before his death. His main symptoms were dyspnea to the point that he would collapse. I had to pay for vet fees, diagnostic fees and cremation which accumulated to over $1000.
PC financial covered about 80% of all the fees. There's always a representative available via phone or email. The representatives I dealt with were very good at explaining the policy and terms. |

| 7/10 SOMEWHAT MISLEADING RE: DIET FOOD |
| Good and bad experiences so far. My dog was recently poisoned after someone left rat poison mixed with peanut butter in my back yard. PC Financial covered 80% of her treatment (after the deductible), so I received about $300.00 from a $500 claim.
However, I subsequently submitted a claim for prescription weight loss food (she has hypothyroidism and is overweight) after seeing "Prescription Food (Therapeutic, diet food)" under my "Coverage Summary" in my Ultra Plan policy details.
I was surprised to find out today that weight loss food is NOT COVERED under the plan. The representative I spoke to this morning said that only foods related to an illness (she mentioned allergies) are covered.
Since allergies would seem to fall under "therapeutic food", there seems to be no reason at all to include the words "diet food" in the coverage summary.
I would not have purchased the weight loss food had I known that "diet food" does not mean weight loss food to PC Financial.
I don't know why they would include "diet food" in their coverage summary, knowing that most people would interpret this to mean weight loss food. It's very misleading. |

| 9/10 Satisfied Customer |
| We purchased pet insurance for our dog when she was a puppy. She is now 5 years old, and while healthy in general, she has had a couple of illnesses requiring hospitalization - the most recent a 2 day stay requiring consultant care from 2 specialists. PC Pet Insurance has been amazing. They have paid out exactly what they said they would and the refund is directly deposited in a timely fashion. Any calls to followup have been welcomed by the company and they send regular email updates when a claim is submitted. I don't regret purchasing pet insurance through PC - it has paid for itself and the company has been terrific to deal with. |

| 9/10 Surprisingly Happy With Them |
| I was with PCF for a few years before my dog died. She had a history of lumps (fatty deposits under the skin) that apparently are common with hounds. As a result there was a note that they wouldn't cover tumours.
When I put in the claim for her medical, cremation and death benefit I was skeptical that I would get anything as the doctor's notes indicated that a "mass" was found in her abdomen that may or may not have contributed to the seizures leading to her death. It was only a couple of weeks after my vet faxed in all the paperwork that I found the money was already deposited into my account! They covered exactly the amounts the said they would up to the full limit of my plan. They even automatically cancelled the insurance policy and initiated a refund for what I had paid after the day of my dog's death.
I'm very pleasantly surprised and now that I have a new dog, am probably going to insure with them again. |

| 1/10 Awful |
| Nice enough agents, but they are very patronizing.
Very slow to process claims and if they need further information, they will write to you and you get a letter three weeks later asking for whatever they need. They could e mail!
They will get out of paying in any way they can and if you have the temerity to claim, they increase your deductable.
Do not use this company. |
