8/10   24 Pet Watch, 10/27/2014

I must say my claims became more time consuming with the paper work required this year. I have been using this company for over 10 yrs. It was called something else before 24 Pet watch. It was great! It takes longer to receive your check, however they are paying my claims. The monthly cost is very reasonable.

I was very nervous when my PurinaCare switched to this company. However, they have been very helpful. It does take some time to get claims paid however I always get paid. Also, The chat feature is great to use for questions! Stephanie was very helpful and helped me find a way to lower my bill so it was more affordable. I couldn't be happier with this company so far. They continue to improve their processes and website/access to information. Give them a chance!

1/10   Shouldn't be allowed to sell insurance, 10/13/2014

Purina sold my policy to 24Petwatch. Claims that Purina processed in 3-4 days now take 3-4 months. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their paper-work is burdensome and their review time is impossibly slow. I would NEVER recommend them to any of my friends or to anyone who loved their pet. Period.

Every call to them is at LEAST a 30 minute wait. They either lie or are completely unorganized when it come to receiving faxes as I faxed my paperwork 7 TIMES!!! This company is a HOT MESS! Just canceled and going with SPCA

10/10   Read the information they send you!, 9/9/2014

After reading all the nasty reviews I felt the company could use some good words. Under the terms & conditions of my policy the company has 60 days to respond to my claims. So I count myself lucky if it's done sooner and appreciate the fact that turnaround times can always vary. Why people are holding the INSURANCE COMPANY liable for the time frame the MAIL takes to get to them is ridiculous. My pet had surgery to remove a lump a while back. I followed the instructions and made sure they had everything they needed and my claim was paid hassle free. This business of holding them responsible for missing info for YOUR claims is nonsense. If it's your claim to file then file it. Don't leave it for someone else (your clinic) to submit for you. Take responsibility for your pet and your insurance. I would recommend this company to those who actually understand and grasp insurance. They are nothing but pleasant to work with!

7/10   Not Great, but worth the money,
I've had my dog insured with this company for 4 years and plan to renew again. They rarely pay the full 80% because their "usual and customary expenses" are pretty conservative, but even at the more typical 60% that I receive it has been worthwhile. Customer service was initially poor but has been very good for the past year. They have been very strict about the rules concerning exclusions, pre-existing… read more

5/10   Existing conditions suddenly appear ,
We received three months of PetCare insurance when we adopted our dog three and a half years ago. After the three months were up we renewed the policy. At some point however, my husband was issued a new credit card and somehow the monthly PetCare fees did not transfer over. We discovered we were uninsured just when we actually needed the insurance. PetCare *very nicely* offered to issue a new policy if we… read more

5/10   Just OK,
I have had the 70% Quickcare Gold coverage for 2 years for both my dogs. While my first dog has had a pretty decent reimbursment rate for allergies, she has almost maxed out her coverage in this catagory (where she needs it the most). Beware, the max coverage ($3,000 per catagory)amounts DO NOT renew annually. Now with my 2nd dog, he ingested a bee (I would call it an accident)and had a horrible bout of… read more

2/10   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!,
Our dog needed TPLO surgery and this company denied him because when he was 6 months old he had growing pains which all Saint Bernards have. He is 7 years old and tore his ACL in a slip/fall. This comapny had the audacity to say that it was a pre-existing condition from when he was 6 montsh old. How can tearing your ACL in the knee be pre-existing? He fell! They want to pay for the shots and regular… read more
