4/10   Terrible turn around, 7/13/2016

You must call and make sure they got the claim firstly. Once u do that the waiting period is horrible. You submit a claim middle of one month and it's not processed for a month. Now you wait almost three months for a cheque. When you call your lucky to be able to get anyone. Today I called and was on hold three half hour intervals only to be disconnected each time. I have three polices and am thinking now to just cancel and go elsewhere.

I hate to write reviews about companies because I feel is a waste of time and a lot of times people don't write anything productive. However Im taking the time to write this out because I been a client of 24petwatch for over 7 years, back on the days of Purina Care before 24petwatch acquire them. I have to say that Im absolutely Fed Up with their entire negligence on handling claims now. They have become a insurance that finds the little things to avoid paying out, Im not sure if it is because Im grandfather in to my plan or what it is but their customer service is useless, if you don't stay on top of them calling them weekly after claim submission get ready to never get your money back. Is sad to see how a great company from many years has gone down so fast and every time at a worse peace. Like I said I been a client for over 7 years, VERY HAPPY for the last 6 years, over the last year I have no idea what happened but they lost their Mojo.

Good luck as of right now there is no way I can recommend them to anybody.

2/10   Great when you don't need them, 5/26/2016

I started insuring my dog when she was a puppy. Over the almost nine years I've been paying premiums, there were a few inexpensive incidents — she's on some inexpensive medication now for one permanent condition. Otherwise she is a healthy pet. But, she's getting old. And this company has been giving me the runaround on my last two claims. The last one in particular has been very frustrating. They keep claiming they are not receiving the paperwork from my vet, which my vet assures me was sent. On top of this, they have jacked up my premiums by over 70% in my policy renewal notice. I am pretty livid to say the least. It is clear that they are trying to get rid of me now that I may actually need them. Their reason was "inflation" for the premium increase, but give me a break? Do they think I'm stupid?

7/10   Finally paid off! , 5/24/2016

After 14 years of paying insurance on three cats, and not getting reimbursed for UTIs and other minor health issues, our youngest cat suddenly was diagnosed over a six month period with (1) kidney failure, (2) congenital heart issues and (3) asthma. They didn't pay everything, and weren't the best on paperwork, but eventually we got about $4,000 back. The verdict is still out on our second cat - haven't heard back and he had issues at the same time as the baby.

8/10   Satisfied with service, 5/23/2016

My first time filing a claim with 24petwatch. I use to have Purina. My Noah is 7 yo dsh cat. He suddenly got ill. I had know idea how sick he was till I got a diagnosis with bw and X-rays and an echocardiogram. He has cardiomyopathy so for his vet bills are around 1500.00. I was worried after reading reviews about other people's claims. It was a little rough at first with the claims and some customer service reps. But if all you paper work is in order (claim forms doctors notes and paid invoices)as well as setting up direct deposits you shouldn't have any problems. Just make sure you email don't fax would be my advice. I put my claims in on 4/25/16 and started getting reimbursed on 5/22/16. Never had a problem getting in touch via phone with a representatives.

7/10   Not Great, but worth the money,
I've had my dog insured with this company for 4 years and plan to renew again. They rarely pay the full 80% because their "usual and customary expenses" are pretty conservative, but even at the more typical 60% that I receive it has been worthwhile. Customer service was initially poor but has been very good for the past year. They have been very strict about the rules concerning exclusions, pre-existing… read more

5/10   Existing conditions suddenly appear ,
We received three months of PetCare insurance when we adopted our dog three and a half years ago. After the three months were up we renewed the policy. At some point however, my husband was issued a new credit card and somehow the monthly PetCare fees did not transfer over. We discovered we were uninsured just when we actually needed the insurance. PetCare *very nicely* offered to issue a new policy if we… read more

5/10   Just OK,
I have had the 70% Quickcare Gold coverage for 2 years for both my dogs. While my first dog has had a pretty decent reimbursment rate for allergies, she has almost maxed out her coverage in this catagory (where she needs it the most). Beware, the max coverage ($3,000 per catagory)amounts DO NOT renew annually. Now with my 2nd dog, he ingested a bee (I would call it an accident)and had a horrible bout of… read more

2/10   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!,
Our dog needed TPLO surgery and this company denied him because when he was 6 months old he had growing pains which all Saint Bernards have. He is 7 years old and tore his ACL in a slip/fall. This comapny had the audacity to say that it was a pre-existing condition from when he was 6 montsh old. How can tearing your ACL in the knee be pre-existing? He fell! They want to pay for the shots and regular… read more
