STAY AWAY is my advice! I have a PurinaCare policy bought by 24PW - the policy is good, but the 24PW service is appallingly bad, truly abominable and wretched - take your pick. Difficult to submit claims, limited info online & effectively impossible to contact them. The automated phone call indicates they received my claim - about 3 weeks after it was submitted, and states it will be 3-4 weeks before it's processed. It takes much longer so plan on extremely slow payment of claims, if it's paid. I've purchased a HealthyPaws policy for my new family member and am grateful to avoid 24PetWatch in the future!

We adopted a dog and called to activate the free month of insurance. I listened to the reasons and hard sell from the rep about upgrading, but ultimately decided we'd try the month out and not upgrade. She got frustrated and hung up on me. Just a poor representation of the service and I should I decide to have pet insurance it won't be with 24 Pet Watch.

I inherited this company from PurinaCare, which was a good company. Unfortunately, 24PetWatch is not a good company. Most importantly, their response time exceeds 60 days. In the past six months, my claims have not been processed for over 70 days. They have also tried to find reasons not to cover legitimate claims, and requests for reevaluations are delayed 60-70 days as well.

This is a bad company which is badly managed.

Have had 24PetWatch for many years, I am glad I have the coverage. But in 2014 they have real got real slow about processing claims. In the past you could count on reimbursement being received about 3 weeks after the claim was filed, now it is taking 4 to 5 weeks - and that is with a complaint filed with the state insurance commission (which they always seem to write the check the day I fax them the state complaint). Their excuse this year is that they have had a busy year and are trying to catch up, but nothing seems to get them moving. Not the standard of care they once provided. Changed our other cat to PetsBest...

I must say my claims became more time consuming with the paper work required this year. I have been using this company for over 10 yrs. It was called something else before 24 Pet watch. It was great! It takes longer to receive your check, however they are paying my claims. The monthly cost is very reasonable.

I've had my dog insured with this company for 4 years and plan to renew again. They rarely pay the full 80% because their "usual and customary expenses" are pretty conservative, but even at the more typical 60% that I receive it has been worthwhile. We received three months of PetCare insurance when we adopted our dog three and a half years ago. After the three months were up we renewed the policy. At some point however, my husband was issued a new credit card and somehow the monthly PetCare fees did not transfer over. We discovered we were uninsured just when we actually needed the insurance. I have had the 70% Quickcare Gold coverage for 2 years for both my dogs. While my first dog has had a pretty decent reimbursment rate for allergies, she has almost maxed out her coverage in this catagory (where she needs it the most). 2/10   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!,
Our dog needed TPLO surgery and this company denied him because when he was 6 months old he had growing pains which all Saint Bernards have. He is 7 years old and tore his ACL in a slip/fall. This comapny had the audacity to say that it was a pre-existing condition from when he was 6 montsh old. How can tearing your ACL in the knee be pre-existing? He fell!
